Featured Artist – Little Shop of Artists

Good Morning,

Today I would like to take a moment and talk about Little Shop of Artists.

Little Shop of Artists is a brand new business now open in Boise, Idaho.  

We offer a brick and mortar location to showcase local crafts men and women and the beautiful items they create.  Everything in the store is created locally and we currently have a variety of jewelry, hand knitted/crocheted items along with some photography perfect for a home or office setting.  All items are great for any gift giving occasion.

 We offer daily demonstrations and have class space available for those wanting to teach and also learn.

Local Artists, Artisans, Crafts-people of all types we are looking for you!  Monthly rental fee applies, Artists keep all Sales Money.  Services include local advertising, business cards, and other amenities.

 We still have space available for artists to display their items so make sure you contact us for information. Sunday, September 29th we will be holding an other open house, so come by and check us out and if you are an artist bring your questions and a sample of your work!

Up Coming Classes and Events at Little Shop of Artists

Good Morning,

Happy Friday to one and all.

Today we will be briefly discussing the classes taught by Alixandra Browning of The Alchemists Vessel and Blackbird Metalworks.

Alixandra is the Independent Contracted Jewelry Instructor for Boise’s local Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Store located at 1085 Milwaukee, Boise.

September’s and October’s Classes include

“Crystal Crochet Water Bracelet” This is made with wire and beads
“Satin Crystal Weave Bracelet”  This is made with satin cording and as many colors as you like, samples use black and white cording (available to see in store).

How about these cute Medallion Earrings, just in time for the Holidays.  Change up the colors and they can be Stars, Snowflakes, Webs, just about anything you can imagine.  Just in time for Halloween these are made in fun Fall colors!

Come on in and learn how and you, too, can hand-make your Christmas presents this year!

We also offer classes at Little Shop of Artists.

These are cute, simple fun and only cost about $10.00 to make (depending on where you purchase your supplies).

Memory Wire Bracelets with Glass Bi-cone beads, these can be designed with any single color or as many colors as you like, simple to make, shiny to wear!

We also teach a variety of intermediate and advanced jewelry techniques, including Illusion jewelry and Chainmaille classes.

We also teach a variety of craft classes from knitting and crocheting to fun ways to alter or jazz up your wardrobe.

Please stop by the shop and have a look.  Sign up for class, or bring us your broken or tired  jewelry in need or repair or an update and let us help you create a special something all your own and fall in love with your jewelry again.

The Alchemists Vessel and Little Shop of Artists is busy preparing to open the store to the public.  Today we have a pictorial plea for Boise, Idaho and surrounding area Artists, Artisans, Craftspeople, Folk- Artists, Woodworkers, Knitters, Crocheters, Sculptors, Painters, Ceramicists, Paper Goods, Glass-working, if we have room for it, you are welcome to display it!

We are not open to the public yet, but should be in the next week or so.  We are looking for talented artisans and crafts people [Independent Contractors] whom would like the opportunity to share their wares available for sale to the public.  Please feel free to contact us via e-mail.  All e-mails will be responded to as quickly as possible, and further details will be given.

We do not offer individual booth space, but instead offer display space in a tidy little Boutique atmosphere.  Please feel free to watch and LIKE Little Shop of Artists Facebook fan page, or the website for the Official Opening Date announcement.

In the Little Shop: Wire Witchery

Good Morning,

I hope all had a restful weekend.  Here in Boise, it promises to be an very hot 108 degrees outside today, the earlier things get done the better.

This weekend Little Shop of Artists had its very first vendor move in.  Wire Witchery has set up some their finest items, from necklaces to earrings, bracelets and rings, Sarah also does Shows, Community Events, and does custom work.

Yes, the cloth is wrinkled, we’ll fix that.

Today it is back to the shop for shelf hanging, and my own set up.  We hope to be open to the public after the holiday.

Inside Little Shop of Artists

Good Morning, 

Today, I am pleased and very excited to tour the interior of the building for what will be the home of Little Shop of Artist.

Taken with my cellphone, it may not be the best quality, but rent is paid, and clean up will commence on or about June 15th, 2013.

We, the participating artists, are hoping to open the doors July 01, 2013.

We hope that you will come and visit us if you are in the Boise, Idaho area.

We apologize for a lack of video but WordPress SUCKS when it comes to uploading them.  Get it together WordPress, you are the only service that is this much of a pain in the ass!

Once the participating artists have set up their displays, these now empty rooms will be filled with Art, Handmade Goods, Jewelry, Gifts and other items to delight the eye and treat the senses.

If you are an artist in the surrounding Boise, Idaho area, stop by and see if we might assist you in showcasing your work.  We welcome all kinds of wares, pottery, knitting, woodworking, sculpting and more, a monthly rental fee applies we offer both participating and featured artists space.  (Currently LSoA is not accepting any more Jewelry Designers at this time).
