In My Studio New Chainmaille Ring
Good Morning,
With the holidays over, and things almost back to the norm here I finally had an opportunity to sit down and make something. It had to be a quick project, something I could complete inside a couple of hours. This ring will be included in the projects for the E-Book “In Chains” currently in progress.
The solution was a Mini Maille Ring. It didn’t start out as one, but during the process of weaving, it insisted that it be small and round, and I had no other choice but to join the ends and create the small circle of maille.
This ring comes in two sizes of jump rings and has many variations. It can be beaded, made in a variety of metals, and customizable in your ring size.
Simple, stunning and sturdy these rings are not meant to be worn during heavy lifting or hard work with your hands, but treated properly they can last life time.
Sample Ring: US size 7-1/2 to 8 average ring size for most folks.
18 gauge Sterling Silver plated wire. There is no elastic or clasp, the ring slips over your finger and fits comfortably. It has a silky smooth feel against the skin and makes an attractive ornament.
The completed ring sits on a ring mandrel.
The finished ring, there is no stop or start, the band is joined in pattern and left as it is.
The ring like any other is a simple circle, instead of a solid strip of metal interlocked rings have been woven together.
Very pretty when worn. A lovely decoration and perfect for those that like the look of maille but do not wish to wear a large piece.
Available in Sterling Silver Plated, Silver, Gold Tone, Copper, Merlin’s Gold, and antiqued Copper and Bronze. 18 or 20 gauge wires, plain or beaded styles in single or double ring weaves. Single ring weave shown in this post.

Is everyone ready for the work week? No? Neither am I, we’re in good company apparently.
Monday always brings me to new items in the shop. This morning is no different. Over that last several days I have been busily linking jump rings to make these fun, affordable and durable Chainmaille key-chains. There are three currently listed for sale, but I will be adding more over the next couple of days.

Aluminum Chainmaille Key-chain with Feather
Description: Light weight and durable, Silver and Black (anodized) aluminum jump rings are used to create these fun and fanciful key chains. Available in a variety of colors and accents, topped with a sturdy steel Key ring for your keys or easy on off as a jeans or purse charm.
About 3″ long, including the silver metal Feather accent. Rings are woven in the Inca Puno (aka Box, Queens Chain) pattern and finished with a white metal Feather accent.

Description: This pearl necklace is handcrafted with freshwater pearls, cape amethyst and small glass beads.
This elegant piece of pearl and stone jewelry, is a delicate thin necklace that can give you more than an aesthetic look.
Freshwater pearls used for this necklace are ivory white and have an approx. lenght of 4mm and 5mm.
Cape amethyst is a translucent gemstone that ranges from light- to medium-purple and has white bands. Note that no cape amethyst stone bead is the same with another.
Cape Amethyst is a very powerful and protective stone.
The necklace comes with matching earrings but you can also buy the pieces separately. The price refers to the set.
Amethyst Necklace Wire Wrapped Amethyst Crystal Pendant Necklace
Description: Amethyst natural crystal wire wrap pendant necklace, big pendant necklace, wire wrapped jewelry handmade.
I wire wrapped the beautiful lilac amethyst crystal (3*2cm – 1.18*0.78”) with silver plated wire. Two silver plated metal beads adorn the black cotton cord (6 strand) finished with silver plated lobster clasp.
This lovely necklace measures approx. 41.5cm (16.33”) around the neck and the extension chain is 6cm (2.36”) long.
Description: I handcrafted this black necklace using black glass beads, a beautiful antique silver plated wire bead(2cm – 0.79”), two rondelle crystal ab beads, antique bali style silver plated beads, small silver plated metal beads, silver tone chain and a silver plated lobster clasp.
This extra modern black necklace measures approx. 46cm (18.11′) all around and the hanging part (chain + wire bead) measures approx. 5cm (1.97”).
**Please note there is no extension chain.
Organza Flower Choker with Flower Pendant
Description: I handmade this lovely stylish organza choker necklace with a flower pendant (2.7cm – 1.06”), double black ribbon, silver plated beads and silver plated lobster clasp. There is a lovely wire wrap red coral bead and a metal feather hanging in front of the flower pendant.
This classy choker measures 42cm (16.54”) from one end to the other in a straight line.
The flower pendant is fine quality non-tarnish.
Celtic Knot Necklace with Brown Silk Cord and Green Geometric Bead
Description: This is a fine celtic knot necklace that looks fine on a woman’s neck. I handcrafted this cletic piece of jewelry with a geometric green and gold stripe glass bead, gold plated wire and chain, and brown silk cord (3strands).
I finished the necklace with an elegant gold plated lobster clasp and extension chain.
This beautiful necklace measures approx.40cm (15.75”) around the neck and the gold plated extension chain is 6cm (2.36”) long.

Description: Blackstone has been carved into a Heart shaped focal bead, accented with genuine Hematite and Sterling Silver Plated spacer beads. Perfect for Goth, Rockers, or Joan Jett fans.
Genuine Blackstone Heart, Hematite (these beads are not magnetic), and Sterling Silver plated spacer beads. Strung on 1.0 mm Leather cording and finished with a silver Slide clasp. Shop New Items

Good morning. Even in the midst of preparations for the Market next weekend, there is still time to make and list new items in the shop. This morning there are four or five new things to peruse and perhaps purchase at your leisure.
First is an example of an Up-cycled item. Several broken and tangled necklaces were taken apart, salvaged and scavenged for usable parts and pieces, then re-designed and strung as an entirely new piece.
Genuine Gemstones include: Amethyst, Malachite, Black Agate, Aventurine and Hematite. Strung on Sterling Silver beading wire with a Sterling Silver Gothic style Hook clasp. An hand-set Amethyst crystal is held in a tiny Sterling Silver Dragon’s (Bird’s) claw is the focal piece of the necklace.

Here the claw detail may be seen, surrounded by Sterling Silver and Amethyst spacer beads, with Black Agate crescent moons and Hematite stars. Body of the necklace is accented with Malachite hearts and Aventurine stars, as well.
This pattern, although not new, is now created in a single color metal. Half-Persian 4 -in- 1 weave, in Silver Plated and Gunmetal wire (jump rings). Slinky, sultry and unisex, these are light weight and perfect for casual or evening attire.
Each of these is sizable, customizable and available in a variety of metals, including but not shown (listed) Gold Tone, Antiqued Copper or Bronze. Precious Metal orders available upon request.
Although Gunmetal is not black, but a shiny steel-blue color, this bracelet is great for a Knight’s folly of fun and frolic.
Beachy Steampunk, you betcha! Even the Victorians enjoyed a holiday at the beach on occasion. These are cute, light weight, and there is only one pair available!
