Today it is my pleasure to introduce you to Lisianblue of handmadeartists.com.  Let me tell you Kris one busy and crafty lady!  Not only is she the owner of two shops on the site, she also belongs to a number of other artist venues as well.  Among her favorite crafts are:

Product Details:  Indulge yourself with this soft cherry red thick winter scarf, this isn’t your typical thin scarf. Hand crocheted with soft bulky weight acrylic yarn with a nubby texture, this carefully hand made scarf is made to keep the winter chill out.   This great scarf measures 6″ x 60″ not including the 7″ fringe on both ends. 
Classy with a black or gray coat.  
I recomend hand washing, squeeze out excess water after rinsing,(no wringing please) wrap it up in a towel ( yeah, just like you do with your swimsuit) and then lay flat to dry.

Product Details:  Hand knit cable knit beanie cap in soft acrylic gray yarn for men or women.  

Hand knit in the round with 4 double pointed knitting needles so there are no seams in this long cap.  With it’s stretchy  17″ circumference and 10″ deep, it will fit heads up to 22″  -  23″ with a snug fit.  Made to be cuffed up to keep those ears warm.

 A Horse of Different Colors of Course Hand Quilted Hand Beaded ACEO aceo0110

Product Details:  A Horse of different colors was created  with thoughts of one of our favorite movies.  This hand quilted, hand beaded ACEO depicts familiar scenes all wrapped up in a 3 3/4″ x 2 3/4″ ACEO, a bit off from the traditional 3 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ ACEO’s.  Art Cards, Editions and Originals are an affordable way to own a piece of original art. 

Hand beaded and hand quilted using a variety of glass seed beads, a vintage crystal( guess who this stand for!), acrylic flowers,crocheted chain,  a piece of confetti, and of course the horse of many colors hand painted acrylic button.   Made with 2 pieces of complimentary green fabric with a very low loft batting inbetween. 
A fun little piece to create and for you to enjoy.

SW Geometric Hand Painted Ornament go0138

Product Details:  Turquoise and Candy Apple red mingle with emerald green and a spot of yellow while opaque white adds the details on this unique hand painted southwest design geometric ornament.  This 2 1/2″ tall reclained silver lined ornament gives the tranparent and iridescent paint a certain glow.  After the original paint has been carefully cleaned off, I have hand painted it with quality durable glass paints,  Transparent red, green and yellow, with iridescent blue that is more turqoise than blue, and the details are painted with an opaque white. 
An original artistic one of a kind glass ornament makes a wonderful gift for the ornament collector or someone you know that you  just don’ know quite what to give them!  Especially for the Southwest design lover.

Hand Made Icy Fern Stained Glass Tetrahedron with Crystal Beads

Product Details:Small to larger,  clear & iridscent, new and vintage crystal beads are contained in this hand made icy fern stained glass tetrahedron pyramid. 
Use it as a paperweight,  a unique sun catcher on a window sill,  stress releiver when you gently shake the beads, turn it over & look through it and breath deep……………………………..
I have hand cut the 4 triangular pieces, ground and wrapped with copper foil tape and soldered it all together with silver colored solder.   Has been trough several cleanings and polished with a bit of liquid car wax.
Cleaning:  Please do NOT submerge.  Spray a little vinegar water on a soft cloth (old t-shirts work great)  and wipe clean.  Occasional (every 6 months or so) polishes with liquid car wax is great for keeping the solder shiny.
This lovely tetrahedron  measures  a bit over 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″  and comes in it’s own handcrafted box shown.  If you would like a different box, such as a sold color, no problem, just let me know in message to seller through PayPal or through the shop here.

Easy Wire Crochet Bracelet Pattern PDF Download 

A tutorial to learn how to make my Multi colored, Cuff style and Swarovski Crystal Wire Crochet Bracelets, with this easy to follow PDF Pattern.

**Beginning crochet, braiding, and beginning jewelry knowledge is helpful for this pattern.**

Materials needed:
Artistic Wire
A toggle clasp
6/0 Seed beads

Tools needed:
Needle Nosed pliers
Flat-nosed pliers
Wire cutters
0 (3.25 mm) US steel Hook

Required:
A cup of coffee or water

I wrote this pattern with you in mind… (I used to teach a beginning crochet class) with clear colored photos, showing you how to crochet with wire and beads. Along with easy to follow step-by-step instructions, as if I were sitting right beside you. ;o).

Featured Artist on a Tuesday – lisianblue

Hello and Happy Tuesday!

Switching things up a little bit this morning, just to keep everybody on their toes!

This morning’s featured artist is another clever and creative person from Handmade Artists, lisianblue.

Lisianblue creates hand-knitted and crocheted items for babies to babes, and she has a lot of terrific things.  I admire her skills, although I knit, and am pretty adept at it, Lisainablue can crochet, a skill / talent that eludes me.

Here are some fun and wonderful items from her shop and a couple of them would make fabulous gifts for Summer, or the new Mommy in your circle of friends.

Like these fingerless gloves.  These would be fabulous for a Summer Date Night, don’t need a jacket, but bring something to keep the chill away.  These are great and lovely!

Elbow Length Fingerless Gloves

Product Description:  Sparkly ivory and lace elbow length fingerless gloves are a fun yet elegant accessory.

Made with sport weight acrylic yarn in ivory with bits of sparkle throughout, these three quarter length fingerless gloves are 13″ long and 8″ around.  With an all around lacy pattern they can be worn on either hand.  Comfortable thumb opening, but they do not cover part of the thumb.  They will comfortably fit up to a 9 1/2″ arm. 

These unique hand crocheted fingerless gloves have a lacy hand edge and I’ve added a row of picot stitching at the elbow end to extend the lacy effect.

Summer White Cotton Juliet Cap

Product Details:  Cool summer white cotton  thread crocheted in an open stitch with an elongated picot edging makes this sweet flowered hat flirty and romantic. 

Simply elegant to wear for a beach wedding, and your honeymoon too!  Dress up a summer outfit for a night out dancing, or out and about around town.

A stretcy 20″ will fit most adult women up to 23″ with an 8″ cap long enough to cover the ears.  If you need this shorter or smaller, let me know and I can adjust it before mailing it out.

Product Details:  Pretty ruffled baby bib with a sweet flower made with 100% cotton in purple, lavender, yellow, and white to keep your sweet baby clothes clean.

Thick cotton tie bib measures 9.75″ wide x 13.5″ long. Machine washable and dryable.

Adult Santa Hat Hand Crocheted

Product Details: Fun Santa hat to keep you warm while out and about, skiing, sledding, hanging out.

Made with acrylic yarn with eye lash or “fun fur” yarn along with the white for the brim and pompom.  This one is 20″ around and 20″ long.   Fits 21″ – 24″  heads

Bio:

I enjoy doing so many things, painting, sewing, knitting, crocheting, drawing, photography. I have many years of experience in all these areas. My grandmother taught me how to knit and crochet when I was about 8. I am the mother of 2 and a grandmother to 3 beautiful children from 9mo’s to 12 yrs old.

HATS & SCARVES
All hats and scarves are hand crocheted or hand knit in a smoke free, cat friendly home. I try to use a smaller hook or needle so you get a hat with a tighter weave to help keep the cold air out. Each hat and scarf is washed with a mild detergent without the use of fabric softener, and put away to limit any further contact with my furry friends. If your hat does not fit, I will gladly make another one for you as soon as I receive the original back in the same great shape it was mailed, or adjust the original. Custom orders: I will be happy to work with you on colors and yarn choices – except for wool. I love wool, but unfortunately, I am highly allergic to it. I can get away with working with a mohair blend, but otherwise I pretty much have to stick with acrylic, cotton or bamboo.

I am a 50 something teacher that has been “crafty” from a young age and decided recently that I should sell some of my art.

Crochet Irish Linen Versatile Jewelry

Product Details: This handmade item is a little different from most I have. It is a very versatile piece in that it can be worn as a necklace, anklet, or a bracelet.

It is crocheted using Irish linen in a chain stitch with antique copper colored seed beads added for interest. The piece is 21 inches in length and has a red stone flower button closure…for that little POP of color.

Fancy Crocheted Coaster Set in Summer Colors 

Product Details: This set of coasters are in the shape of a flower and in the brightest, boldest colors of summer. The colors are Bright Blue. Bright Lime, and Bright Orange.

The coasters measure 5 1/2 inches in diameter and are made of super absorbent 100% cotton. Because they are 100% cotton these coasters can be machine washed and dried.

Green Bead Cord and Pink Crackle Glass Beads

 

Product Details: This little bracelet is created using green bead cord and pink crackle glass beads. The closure is an antique silver Celtic Knot button.

The bracelet is approximately 6 3/4 inches in length.
